Robert A. Hefner III is a geologist/geophysicist and pioneer in the exploitation of the world’s deepest and highest-pressure natural gas wells. At Ramiiisol he applies his geoscience experience and understanding to sustaining the environment and the art of growing natural and biodynamic wines. As Robert explained “to me the most important of my life experiences applicable to how we’re growing wine is that I am an earth scientist and true environmentalist and deeply connected to the earth and nature’s natural rhythms. And because of my love of exploration and tolerance for its high risks we embraced a mission that combines modern science with many of the ancient, natural traditions of winegrowing based upon the fundamental principle that great wines are made in the vineyard naturally and subject to the biodynamic rhythms of our solar system.”
MeiLi Hefner, born in Singapore, has a cosmopolitan background and traveled and lived around the world for much of her life. Her professional career was with five-star international hotels as well as the establishment of a successful company specializing in marketing/public relations and branding. MeiLi is very active in every facet of Ramiiisol Vineyards, from branding and design to winegrowing and the creation of Ramiiisol’s multiple flower gardens. As MeiLi said about Ramiiisol, “Having been born when Singapore was only emerging from the 3rd world and having experienced its global success as well as my own success around the world, I know everything is possible, including Jefferson’s dream of making world class, natural, authentic wines.”
