Cabernet Franc 2019 label

Cabernet Franc 2019

(Bradshaw Period Rock Art - Schematized Bradshaw Group)

420 x 240 mm (16 x 9.5 ins) panel

A scarce example of Schematized Bradshaw Figures in a more naturalistic alignment, standing with spread legs. Classic examples of this Group are in standing close-leg plan alignments; in quite rigid, erect form, with arms either hanging or sloping, similar to these examples. They are mostly shown with tall, slender, near vertical Dunce Cap Headdress. At times a long Tasseled Cord, occasionally two, trails from the headdress pointed-tip to approximately half the headdress length. In the rare instances where foot detail is shown it is in the form of small Slipper Feet facing to either direction, an alignment separating them from the main tassel Bradshaw Group. Artists’ schematic directions strove for slender forms, frequently schematized beyond casual recognition, with thin, single line arms and dwarf digit fingers.
